A hand knotted Persian Bakhshayesh Heriz rug. This rug was knotted by hand in Persia and features a rich rust-colored field with stylized organic patterning in indigo, lime, gray, salmon and cream with an abstract center medallion in a coordinating color palette. The rug has four corner spandrels with abstract patterning and a principle border showing stylized floral motifs, which is flanked on both sides by minor borders in sage, rust, gold and navy. The rug is finished with a hidden selvage to both sides and a natural warp fringe to both ends, and it is unmarked.
