Item Details
A handwoven Afghan Maimana accent kilim. This flat weave wool rug is rendered in a palette of rose, sapphire, emerald, mulberry, butter yellow, coffee, umber, and slate. It commences with an implied medallion comprised of diamonds in a lattice pattern, which reiterates throughout the field. Framing the field is a crenellated guard border, while the primary border mirrors the center medallion in an unresolved pattern over coffee. The rug is finished with overcast selvedges, striped short ends, and natural warp fringe comprised of goat hair. It is unlabeled.
