A pair of remnants from an antique, hand knotted Persian Heriz room size rug, appearing to have been cut roughly in half from the same piece. This wool rug features a center medallion on a lozenge-shaped field in a palette of rust, teal, blue, gold, salmon and cream. The field is bounded by spandrels and surrounded by a compound Herati border with natural warp fringe to the far ends. The rug pieces are unlabeled.
