A 20th century folk art watercolor on paper by Evelyn S. Dubiel (American, b. 1922) after Jacob Maentel’s painting Joseph Gardner and His Son, Tempest Tucker. This piece depicts a well-dressed man and his son walking through the countryside with their small dog. It is signed ‘E.S. Dubiel’ to the lower left corner and presented under glass in a black wooden frame with a hanging bracket to the verso. There is a label on the back inscribed ‘Joseph Gardner And His Son, / Tempest Tucker (c: 1814) / Painted by Evelyn S. Dubiel / Painted In The Manner Of / Folk Painter Jacob Maentel / Evelyn S.
