An original acrylic painting on panel by contemporary American artist Steve Keene (New York, born 1957), titled How The West Was Won. The painting depicts a figure on horseback wearing a wide hat, painted in bright colors. Its title is written in large text across the right margin, and the painting is initialed and numbered “6518” to the lower left. It is presented without matting or framing, awaiting your choice of presentation. Holes have been punched through the board where a hanging wire is strung.

Keene is known for creating massive amounts of small, quickly-painted works which he sells in unexpected venues, gaining him the title of the “Assembly-Line Picasso.” More information about the artist can be found below under Additional Information.
