A watercolor painting on paper titled Moroccan Teahouse by listed American artist David Loren Bass (b. 1943), created in 1996. This work features a Moroccan terrace scene with people sitting at tables, portrayed with loose brushstrokes and vibrant colors. The work is signed and dated ‘Bass ’96’ to the lower left. It is presented under glass with white matting and housed in a beige wood frame. The work is inscribed, titled, and dated to the verso.

Born in Arkansas, David Loren Bass studied at the University of Central Arkansas, the Aspen School of Contemporary Art, the University of North Carolina at Greensboro and Chapel Hill. With a degree in Art Education, he taught in the U.S. and in Morocco at the Defense Department’s Overseas School. His work has been collected by multiple institutions including the Mint Museum, the Fayetteville Museum of Art, and the Museum of the Big Bend, among others. He currently lives and works in New Mexico.
