French Christofle "Marly" Silver Plate Flatware

An extensive assortment of Christofle silver plate flatware in the classic pattern Marly. The French made silver plate flatware has an arabesque foliate cartouche at the handle, monogrammed with an interlaced ‘HB’. The assortment comprises; thirty-six European sized dinner forks, eleven salad forks, twenty-four European sized place spoons, ten sherbet spoons and twelve hollow serrated dinner knives. Marked ‘Christolfe’ with the ‘C84C’ scale marked used from 1844 until 1862 indicating eighty-four grams of electroplating. The knives marked ‘Rostfrel’ to the stainless steel blades and ‘90’ to the hollow handles indicating ninety grams of electroplating. A wooden felt lined storage chest is included.
Christofle has been creating tableware for French royalty since 1830. The flatware is renowned for being hand finished and proportionally balanced.
