A pair of antique Japanese woodblock prints on paper. The first is a an 1869 print titled Shamisen Player and is attributed to very well-listed Japanese printmaker Utagawa Yoshiiku (歌川 芳幾_, 1833 – 1904). The second print also depicts a figure playing an instrument and is by very well-listed Japanese artist Utagawa Kunisada II (_歌川国貞 二代 1823-1880). Both are matted in white paper and presented without framing.
Condition
- both prints are slightly yellowed with age. Matting is yellowed and slightly ripped on both.
