An original acrylic painting on canvas by Cincinnati artist Elizabeth O’Neill (1930 – 2018). This painting features a dream-like scene as a figure rides on the back of a dolphin as it swims through a pastel landscape. This work is signed to the lower right. It is presented in a wood composite frame with a gold tone finish and a hanging wire to the verso.

Elizabeth O’Neill was born in Cleveland, Ohio and earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from St. Mary of the Woods College in Indiana. After furthering her education with graduate work at the Cleveland and Chicago Art Institutes and Northern Illinois University, she spent twelve years teaching art to inner-city high school students in Chicago. ‘There,’ she says, ‘I learned the grassroots of humanity and found expression to be a saving factor.’
