Vintage Power-Loomed Karastan "Bokhara" Area Rug

A vintage power-loomed Bokhara area rug by Karastan. This wool pile rug is rendered in a palette of crimson, rose, sapphire, and ivory, and features a latticed elephant gul field pattern. Framing the field are geomtric and barber pole guard borders, while the primary border displays a resolved motif of octagonal medallions infilled with rosettes. The piece is finished with serged selvedges and cropped fringe. A label to the reverse reads ’America’s finest power loomed rug’.
