World War I United States Military Air Service Uniform
Item Details
A World War I United States Air Service soldiers uniform. From the 3rd Aero Park Squadron, this uniform contains its coat and pants and is constructed of an olive green wool material. Adorned with metal US and Aircraft buttons on its high collar, this uniform features a single red stripe for the rank of private and red, blue, and white circular ‘3’ divisional or insignia patch. In the collar area, there is a white cloth tag that reads ’ U.S.A. Coats 38’ long.’ Also enclosed is a pair of pants or trousers which are laced up at their ends and lined on the interior. In addition, there is a pair of green wool shirts and wool leg wrap that is rolled. Finally, a wool Garrison cap with no markings included.
