A 1945 Li’l Abner Dogpatch Band wind-up musical toy by Unique Art Manufacturing of Newark, New Jersey. This complete wind-up musical toy features Li’l Abner poised to sing, Daisy May playing the piano, Pappy Yokum playing a snare drum, and Mammy Yokum perched up top with a metal rod. The shell of the toy is decorated by sheet music for the song “Turnip Time,” with a Sadie Hawkins Day poster, images of Ole Man Mose and Salomey the pig, and a label to the rear reading ““Unique Art Manufacturing Co. Inc. – Pioneer Toy Makers Since 1916.”
