Hickory Chair Company James River Federal Style Sideboard

Item Details

A Federal style sideboard from the Hickory Chair Company’s Historical James River Plantation line. The sideboard has a block front with a straight counter edge that overhangs the cabinet slightly. There are two center drawers and a cabinet on either side; both the cabinets and drawers have flame mahogany veneers. The cabinets have key handle knobs and swing outward; the drawers have two bail pulls with oval brass back plates. Tapered legs extend from under the top, and the front four legs have satinwood inlay banding; the two center legs are set at an angle and have the banding on two sides. The piece is marked to the interior of the top drawer.
