A vintage 138-piece German 800 silver flatware set by Körner Proll with additional German 800 silver flatware by Koch & Bergfeld. The set by Körner Proll includes twenty-four dinner forks, twenty-four luncheon forks, twenty-four teaspoons, eighteen tablespoons, and forty-eight hollow handled dinner knives of various sizes with stainless steel blades. These are presented eighteen salad forks and eighteen master butter knives by Koch & Bergfeld. Each utensil features a scrolling acanthus motif handle that is engraved with the letter ‘W’ to its terminal; most of which are hallmarked to their undersides and additionally marked with 800 silver fineness marks and German national reichsmarks. The flatware is presented in a four-drawer black wooden silverware chest with magenta colored fabric lining and its original key from the retailer Albert Schroeter of Bromberg, Germany. This collection, excluding the hollow handled knives, has a total approximate weight of 220.22 ozt.
