A cut and painted paper collage on board by American artist Mark Zets (b. 1953). This work features an interior living room scene with a professionally dressed woman seated on the sofa holding two babies and an anonymous pregnant woman in a yellow dress holding a bouquet of flowers behind her back. The work is signed ‘Zets M’ in paint to the lower left. It remains unframed.
Mark and his brother Jeff are twin artists known for their collages expressing contemporary racial and social themes, exhibiting the influence of Romare Bearden. Mostly self-taught, the artists grew up in Fredericktown, PA, taking occasional art classes “for fun”. Members of the Associated Artists of Pittsburgh and Pittsburgh Society of Artists, they have exhibited their work at various local venues including The Blue Sky Gallery, Mendelson Gallery, and the Three Rivers Arts Festival Gallery, among others.

- some wear along edges of composition, including curling and small tears to paper; faitn scratch marks scattered throughout surface.
