A 20th century bronze Ashanti figure from Ghana. This work depicts a mother with her child on her lap. Both mother and child posses elongated features and the mother contains incised scarification to her abdomen.

Condition

- dust and debris to surface; scratches and uneven patina to surface; one of the mother’s arms has been deliberately cut off and the other has accidentally been cut off; the figure is unstable.
