A hand-knotted Ardekan Kashan wool area rug. This rug features a central scalloped medallion with pendants in a palette of deep blue, lavender blue, ivory, lemon yellow, crimson, olive green, lime green, and pink, against a crimson red field. It has ivory and blue corner treatments, palmette main borders with meandering carnation guard stripes. The rug is finished in short cotton warp fringe with overcast edges. Marked with a label to the reverse.
