A circa late 19th century antique hardcover volume of Walter Izaak’s The Compleat Angler, a prose and verse work on fishing, originally published in 1653. This is the Everyman’s Library edition by J.M. Dent & Co. of London, with an introduction by Scottish poet and literary critic Andrew Lang. It is bound in an orange cloth hardcover with stamped and gilt lettering and designs to the spine.
