A two volume set of Mark Twain’s Autobiography, published 1925 by P.F. Collier & Son. This is the first printing by Collier, with an earlier edition published 1924 by Harper Bros. The work features an introduction by Twain’s friend and literary executor Albert Bigelow Paine, and consists of a series of dictated reminisences and anecdotes rather than a conventional, unified narrative autobiography. Bound in red cloth hardcovers with facsimile gilt signatures to the front boards, and gilt top page edges.
