A handwoven tapestry wall-hanging after the original 1859 painting Angelus by well-listed French Barbizon School painter Jean-Francois Millet (1814- 1875). This piece depicts two peasants praying as they stand near the days harvest in the fields, woven in a palette of browns and black. A label indicating the original artist and title is present to the verso. This work is housed in a stained wood frame and is ready to hang with twine.

Condition

- light accretion. Tapestry is loose in frame. Edges are fraying to verso. Wear to frame finish.
