An offset lithograph post WWII Soviet propaganda poster with the headline ‘No!’. The work was commissioned in response to the alarming rate of alcohol consumption during the early Cold War era, and predates Nancy Reagan’s ‘Just Say No!’ anti-drug slogan by decades. Publishing information in Cyrillic to the bottom margin reads: ‘Moscow Contact Culture Publishing House. Gorvokov Victor Ivanovich. ’No!’ Poster, Moscow 1954 reprint edition.’ The poster is presented in a metal frame under glass with a wire to the verso for hanging.
