Item Details
An antique Sèvres centerpiece bowl with porcelain trays. The pieces are decorated with depictions of 18th-century young couples lounging in a picturesque landscape with turquoise borders accented with gilt leaf and scroll motifs, and trim. The platters and bowl also bear gilded monograms in cartouches for King Louis Philippe of France flanked by multicolored rose motifs. The centerpiece bowl is adorned with elaborate acanthus leaf handles and an ornate pedestal base featuring cherub figures. The undersides of the pieces bear an over glazed manufacture and decorator marks, placing production between 1830-1848.
