A vintage West African acrylic and ink barber sign on wood panel, likely painted by a self-taught sign painter. With a painted heading that reads A Votre Choir, this sign features a variety of hairstyles and likely hung on a tree or in a market stall as an advertisement for a street barber. The work remains unframed. It is inscribed by hand to the verso, part of which reads ‘Les ARTS-JUNIOR’ and ‘BENIN’.

- faint stains and spots of accretion scattered throughout; wear to edges of panel; preexisting splits and chips throughout edges of panel; small hole present to center of top edge from previous display.
