A hand-tufted Chinese floral carved wool oval area rug. This rug is rendered in a palette of cream, sage, violet, cranberry, apricot, rose, goldenrod, sky blue, camel, and ivory. The cream colored field features a sculpted flower filled medallion enclosed by floral swags and foliate motifs. Framing the field is a notched border infilled with an array of colorful blossoms, along with a leaf and pearl designed guard border. Finishing this rug is an ivory cotton fringe, and a cotton backing to the underside. It is unlabeled.
