Item Details
A hand-knotted Indo-Persian Peshawar wool area rug. This rug is rendered in a palette of putty, ivory, slate, ice blue, gold, camel, olive, and wine. The putty colored field features a stylized herati design with exaggerated leaves. Framing the field is a slate hued main floral meander with palmettes, along with floral meander guard and minor borders. Finishing this rug are overcast selvedges and a cotton warp fringe to the ends. It is unlabeled.
