Vintage Hand-Knotted Turkmen Wool Accent Rug
Item Details
A vintage hand-knotted Turkmen wool accent rug. This rug is rendered in a palette of crimson, black, ivory, madder red, and clementine. The field features a pair of serrated diamond forms surrounding a central gul, along with animal, and comb motifs. The field also features notches along the edges and ends infilled with hooked devices. Framing the field is a main curled leaf border, along with a running dog, and a sawtooth guard border. Finishing this rug are double overcast selvedges and a wool warp fringe to the ends. It is unlabeled.
