A set of 20th century carved wooden Ethiopian headrests (pillows). Both works feature trapezoid-shaped bodies and are embellished with incised geometric delineations. Headrests were carried by farmers while tending to their cattle and were used to protect and preserve intricate hairstyles.

Condition

- dust, debris, and abrasions to surface; some hair butter residue present; one headrest is slightly unstable.
