A set of 20th century carved wooden Ethiopian headrests (pillows). Both works are embellished with incised geometric delineations and one features a double conical-shaped base. Headrests were carried by farmers while tending to their cattle and were used to protect and preserve intricate hairstyles.

Condition

- dust and debris to surface; minor hair butter residue; some surface abrasions.

Dimensions

- larger headrest measures; smaller measures 7" W x 6.75" H x 4.5" D.
