Item Details
A hand-knotted Romanian wool area rug. This rug is rendered in a palette of crimson, sapphire, walnut, pale yellow, and sky blue. The ornately designed sapphire hued field features two pendant medallions enclosed by partial walnut colored medallions forming an infinity pattern. Scrolling vine-work with leaves and flowers fill the field and partial medallions in contrasting colors. Framing the field is a main pale yellow grounded stylized floral meander border. Finishing this rug are overcast selvedges and a cotton warp fringe to the ends. It is unlabeled.
