A 1943 illustration for Yank Magazine attributed to Corporal Richard T. Gaige. This ink on paper illustration depicts a racetrack scene with vaguely rendered individuals riding donkeys while a group of soldiers watch from the sidelines. In the background a snack stand can be seen as well as a US Army truck. This piece is signed in pencil to the lower right corner ‘Gaige ’43’. It is presented with a linen mat, under glass, and in a black wooden frame
