An antique four-piece English sterling silver tea and coffee service set by Samuel Smily for Goldsmiths Alliance Ltd. The set includes a teapot, a coffee pot, a creamer, and an open sugar bowl. These pieces feature finial topped lids, scrolled handles, resin insulators, and chased floral motif designs. They are hallmarked and additionally marked with passant sterling fineness marks, leopard’s head London city marks, letter ‘p’ 1870 date marks, letter ‘q’ 1871 date marks, and Queen Victoria duty marks. These pieces have a total approximate weight of 68.340 ozt, inclusive of all materials.
