George III Style Shield-Back and Floral-Decorated Chairs from Valerie Makstell

A set of eight George III style shield-back and floral-decorated dining chairs from Valerie Makstell Interiors of Cincinnati, Ohio. The group includes two armchairs and six side chairs, each of which has a satinwood-finished frame decorated with floral sprays and foliate accents. They feature pierced, shield-shaped backs above padded seats in striped fabric and the chairs rise on square, tapered legs ending in spade feet. The underside of one retains a hand-written label.
