A vintage Chippendale style secretary desk. This mahogany piece has a broken scroll pediment with center finial over a shelved cabinet behind glass paned doors with geometric wooden overlay. The secretary has a slant front that sits over four serpentine front drawers, and opens to a divided shelf with center small cabinet and a row of small, serpentine front drawers. The piece stands on ball and claw feet.
It bears a Mahogany Association tag with member number 134, assigned to Maddox Table Company in Jamestown, NY.
