A Swiss antique marquetry secretary/desk. This distinct secretary features a sloped shoulder design, with vining foliate inlay motif and border on the center pull down surface, top, shoulder panels and two lower drawer panels. The writing surface lowers to reveal four shallow drawers and a center storage door. The lower full width drawers include dark metal pulls, with bullnose stiles, a scalloped and carved apron, with cabriole legs and modified trifid foot. It includes a key at the pull down surface. Unmarked. The secretary is thought to be a mixture of pine or yellow birch.
