19th Century Seth Thomas Adamantine Mantel Clock

Item Details

A circa 1893 Seth Thomas adamantine mantel clock. This antique clock is comprised of a wooden case covered with a celluloid veneer in a marbled pattern, and features brass lion head handles and brass paw feet. The brass and glass front door is embellished with egg and dart molding, a white paper dial with black Arabic numeral hour markers, and two brass key arbors. It follows an 8-day time and strike movement, and has an embossed brass pendulum and rare back escapement movement.

Condition

- untested, minor surface scuffs and scratches througout, discoloration to paper dial, tape residue to reverse.
