Antique Industrial Cabinet Drawers with Cast Iron and Metal Handles
Item Details
A group of forty-six antique industrial cabinet drawers with cast iron and metal handles, late 19th to early 20th century. The drawers feature hardwood fronts, including walnut and oak, which are painted with black bands along the tops and stenciled with white, five-digit numbers. They are fitted with foliate- and floral-patterned, cast iron handles as well as metal, cup handles in either copper, brass, or black-painted finishes. The fronts are jointed, many dovetailed, to deep linings with rounded interiors, probably for cylindrical, machine dies.
