A Japanese Heizo Tatsumura silk brocade textile. The fringed reproduction cloth features a floral brocade in green and maroon with silvery gray and rust for leaves and buds. The ground is filled with threads covered with silver foil. The style is called Sounji Silver Brocade. The original of this textile is in the Sounji Temple. It is presented in original wooden box with paperwork and maker’s tag. Tatsumara Textiles was established in 1894 and continues in operation today.
