Millet is a Realist artist well-known as one of the founders of the Barbizon School. His work studies the everyday life of peasants and the working class, as well as pastoral landscape. Millet’s work is found in collections and institutions around the world including the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Art Institute of Chicago and the National Gallery of Art.
