A pair of 1916 books from the Indiana Historical Commission titled The Indiana Medal Commemorating the Completion of a Century of Statehood by sculptor Janet Scudder (American, 1869–1940). The books are limited edition, numbered and signed in ink by the Governor of Indiana, Samuel M. Ralston. The books are numbered 451 and 566 of a total 918 printings. Each book features an enclosed commemorative bronze proof medal fixed in the back. The medals, designed by Janet Scudder, commemorate the state of Indiana’s admission to the Union.
