An Elkington & Co. Royal Alfred Yacht Club 1872 plated on copper repoussé trophy basin. The rim features the twelve signs of the zodiac with allegorical depictions containing a inner body of griffins, putti and foliate decoration to the center. It is marked with the text ‘Royal Alfred Yacht Club’ to top and ‘Won by the Pastime, 16 July 1872’ and stamped ‘Elkington 817’ to the underside.
