A hand-knotted Persian Viss Heriz area rug. This rug features a main field with geometric medallions and rectilinear tree and vine forms in a color scheme of royal blue, evergreen, orange, acorn, and dark red. It has rectilinear repeating figures to the main border, flanked by repeating diamond figures to the minor borders. Ends in natural warp fringe and hand overcast selvedges. Label to reverse.
