WWI U.S. M17 "Doughboy" Steel Military Helmet
Item Details
A WWI era U.S. M17 ‘Doughboy’ steel military helmet, also referred to as the ‘Brodie’ helmet. This steel helmet features a textured finish to the exterior and retains much of its interior leather, rubber, net and wool liner. It includes its original ‘Tighten Cord And Adjust Net To Fit The Head’ label to the interior. The leather chinstrap has been inscribed Pvt. E.S. Mosher.

Condition
- wear, scuffs and scratches to the exterior; wear, and scuffs to the interior; leather is dry and slightly cracked in spots; the wool pad to the top of the interior has deteriorated; retains its original paper instruction tag; item has been inscribed to the chin strap.
