A vintage, hand knotted Persian Tabatabai Tabriz area rug. This wool rug features a center medallion with hanging pendants on a lozenge-shaped field in a palette of blue, navy, powder blue, scarlet, blue, sage, chocolate, sand and cream. The field is bounded by spandrels and framed by a major border within compound floral minor borders, and the far ends have white fringe. The rug is unmarked.
