An original 2016 acrylic reverse painting on plexiglass titled In a Dark Place by contemporary Cincinnati artist Evelyn Liner. The painting depicts a busy composition of splattered jewel tone paint with thick black paint applied across it. The painting is signed and dated to the upper right, and is again signed along with extensive information about the piece to the verso. A treated paper has been applied across the painting’s verso to protect it. The piece is presented without matting or framing, awaiting your choice of presentation.

Evelyn L. Liner received her artistic training from the University of Cincinnati. Liner typically creates reverse glass paintings, rendered in vibrant colors. Her work has been accepted into a number of juried shows including the Bluegrass Open in Louisville, Kentucky, Summerfair, Cincinnati, Ohio, and the Dayton Museum Gallery Show. Along with juried shows, Liner’s work has been on display at several Cincinnati area institutions such as: Closson’s Gallery; Miller Gallery; and Malton Gallery.
