An antique sterling silver tankard by William Hutton & Sons Ltd. of Sheffield, England. The mug features an open tapering cylindrical design with a C-shaped handle. It is engraved to its front, ‘York & Lancaster Regt. Presented To The Officers Of York & Lancaster Regt. By Captain H.M. Platnauer 1908’. Additionally, it is hallmarked to its back, marked with a Sheffield crown city mark, a passant sterling fineness marks, and a letter ‘p’ 1907 date mark. This piece has an approximate weight of 5.925 ozt.
