A Chinese Republic Period (1912 – 1949) porcelain saucer in hand painted polychrome enamel decoration to illustrate stalks of bamboo. A poetic inscription occupies the upper right alongside a signature and seal (…上聞). The saucer is signed and bears an auspicious red symbol over glaze at the underside.
