A hand-knotted Chinese floral themed wool area rug. This Persian influenced rug is rendered in a palette of hunter, ivory, cranberry, sage, sapphire, rose, sky blue, peach, aqua, and taupe. The ornately designed hunter green colored field begins with a pendant medallion, along with an abundance of flowering sprays, bouquets, and vases. The vases at each corner are framed by a notched interior border that follows the same elaborate floral theme. Framing the field is a cranberry grounded floral border, a floral meander guard border, and a laleh abbasi guard border. Finishing this rug are overcast selvedges and a cotton kilim skirt with cotton warp fringe to the ends. It is labeled ‘Made in China’.
