An offset lithograph print on paper after an original 1977 oil painting titled Sailing by well-listed American athletic, sporting and horse-racing genre artist, LeRoy Neiman (1921 – 2012). The print depicts an Impressionistic rendering of a sailboat at sea being tossed about violently in the waves. It is signed and dated within the plate to the lower right, and has the name and address of the publisher, Hammer, to the lower edge. It is signed in graphite by the artist to lower right, along with a faded personalized dedication in ink. It is presented in a black composite frame under acrylic with hanging wire to verso.
Condition
- left corner of frame is loose
- water damage to lower edge of poster also causing hand written inscription to fade; signature is undamaged
- poster is backed with architectural print mounted on foam core board
