Pastel on paper

An original pastel chalk on paper by Indiana artist and art teacher Edrie ‘Leah’ Frandzel (1904 – 1988). This portrait depicts a female in three-fourths profile with brunette hair in a bun gazing off into the distance. It is signed by the artist to the left corner and is presented in a cream mat, in distressed wood frame. An exhibition sticker from a 1962 art show by the Indiana Artist’s Club is on verso.
