A pair of antique paperbacked pamphlets on the Lady Franklin Bay Expedition and the personal experience of Ezra Meeker on the Oregon Trail. Includes a signed 1912 sixth reprint of Ezra Meeker’s Personal Experiences on the Oregon Trail Sixty Years Ago. He signed the lower portion of the cover in black ink. Inside of the book is a newspaper clipping citing his 1852 exploration of the Oregon Trail using the ’2 mile per hour ’ ox team and the fact he lived to make the same trek by plane which travels 102 miles per hour. Also included in the lot is an 1884 government issued pamphlet regarding the ill-fated voyage, Lady Franklin Bay Expedition to the Canadian Arctic under the leadership of Lt. Adolphus Greely, titled, Physical Observations During the Lady Franklin Bay Expedition of 1883. Photos and map are present.

Condition
The Oregon Trail is yellowed and maybe missing a title page. The signature on the cover is faded. The cover of the Lady Franklin pamphlet is loose, but the map, illustrations and pages are intact.
